Description
The pharmacy technician is responsible for managing stock, inventory and supplies, the preparation, distribution and compounding of prescriptions, including the accuracy of prepared prescriptions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy of all prescription information prior to filling
- Data entry of patient-care information into our computer system
- The accurate dispensing of prescription medications
- Prepare and process compound prescriptions
- Transfer and receive prescriptions to and from other pharmacies
- Receive and process verbal and non-verbal prescriptions from practitioners
- Maintenance of pharmacy stock levels using inventory control systems
- Handling customer prescription pick up and drop off
- Assisting with cashier responsibilities and other payment-related asks
Qualifications
- Must have a BC Pharmacy Technician License (Canadian Licensure)
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Compounding experience
- Excellent customer service and patient counselling skills
- Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
- Passionate about health and wellness
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency
